Psalms 91

Security of the One Who Trusts in the Lord.

1He who dwells in the ashelter of the Most High
Will abide in the bshadow of the Almighty.
2I will say to the Lord, “My crefuge and my dfortress,
My God, in whom I etrust!”
3For it is He who delivers you from the fsnare of the trapper
And from the deadly gpestilence.
4He will hcover you with His pinions,
And iunder His wings you may seek refuge;
His jfaithfulness is a kshield and bulwark.

5You lwill not be afraid of the mterror by night,
Or of the narrow that flies by day;
6Of the opestilence that
Or walks
stalks in darkness,
Or of the qdestruction that lays waste at noon.
7A thousand may fall at your side
And ten thousand at your right hand,
But rit shall not approach you.
8You will only look on with your eyes
And ssee the recompense of the wicked.
9
Or For You O Lord are my Refuge; You have made the Most High your dwelling place
For you have made the Lord, umy refuge,
Even the Most High, vyour dwelling place.
10 wNo evil will befall you,
Nor will any plague come near your
Or dwelling
tent.

11For He will give yHis angels charge concerning you,
To guard you in all your ways.
12They will zbear you up in their hands,
That you do not strike your foot against a stone.
13You will aatread upon the lion and cobra,
The young lion and the
Or dragon
serpent you will trample down.

14 acBecause he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will adset him securely on high, because he has aeknown My name.
15“He will afcall upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in
Or distress
trouble;
I will rescue him and ahhonor him.
16“With
Lit length of days
a ajlong life I will satisfy him
And
Or cause him to feast his eyes on
,
allet him see My salvation.”
